Summer Espinoza co-authored a grant to conduct preservation activities for 800 oral histories at Go For Broke National Education Center. These oral histories will be digitized using preservation quality digital robotic systems! Espinoza, formerly of Go For Broke, is now a Digital Archivist at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Stacy Wood

UCLA IS doctoral candidate Stacy Wood has been hired as Assistant Professor in the Archives and Information Science program of the Information Culture & Data Stewardship Department of the School of Computing and Information at the University of Pittsburgh.

Alyssa Loera of the UNT LIS program accepted a tenure-track position at Cal Poly Pomona as the Head of Digital Services and Technologies.

Jean Witte of Feminist Library on Wheels (F.L.O.W.) and Skylight books, was awarded an International Book Fair Scholarship and spoke on several panels at the Turin Book Fair in Italy.

UCI Libraries

UCI Libraries were awarded a three year IMLS grant to "explore the outcomes of undergraduate students applying what they learn in ethnic studies combined with lived experience in contributing to community archives." They're also hiring a project coordinator!

Selena Chau is now Digital Archives Manager at the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Rob Montoya of the UCLA IS doctoral program received a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Information and Library Science at Indiana University Bloomington.

UCLA IS Ph.D. candidate Marika Cifor will be a Consortium for Faculty Diversity Postdoctoral Fellow in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies at Bowdoin College starting next fall.
